Lia is the Little Sprouts Farm Manager, bringing a background in outdoor education, small-scale farming, and program management. She previously worked as an outdoor educator at Shaw Nature Reserve, where she led experiences that helped students build confidence in outdoor spaces and develop meaningful connections with nature. In 2025, she completed a certificate in small-scale sustainable farming through the University of Illinois and learned how to manage productive, resilient food systems.

Lia grew up gardening with her family, caring for laying hens, and working in a small health food store. These experiences are what first sparked her interest in food systems and fresh, local produce. She loves connecting people with what they eat, and has seen firsthand the power of community and access to good food. Lia is excited to join Urban Harvest STL and support the Little Sprouts program by connecting young learners with fresh food and hands-on opportunities in the garden.
