Please welcome Jorden Latson as our new Little Sprouts Educator at UHSTL! They will be engaging young minds through nature-based learning with Flance Early Learning Center and Guardian Angel Child Development Center.

As an educator, organizer, and artist, Jorden is passionate about intentional community building, encouraging accessible crafting, learning in unconventional classrooms, and using creativity as a tool for liberation. They lead with radical imagination and believe that dreaming can take you anywhere. Jorden has dedicated their time to constantly learning, and they thrive off of providing knowledge gained from their experiences to the community they love and adore.

They have a background as a librarian with the Saint Louis Art Museum. an arts educator, a flower farmer, a curator, and an arts organizer. They are enthusiastic about being at the center of creation and strive to help nurture the imagination of all.

Outside of the farms, Jorden runs the Fiber Arts Circle, a Black-centered donation-based arts group with a deep love of fiber. Jorden is committed to building city and nationwide connections through creative collaboration. They believe open education is resistance and a right for all.
