Grandel Square Center for Urban Agriculture
Welcome to Urban Harvest STLβs newest farm! The Grandel Square Center for Urban Agriculture is located in the heart of the Grand Arts District, the Center explores the intersection of art and agriculture, while demonstrating low to no cost farming techniques. The space includes a demonstration farm, classroom, community gathering space, agricultural lending library, and a community supported agriculture program. As we built the farm, we offer workshops, teaching other growers how they can upcycle and repurpose materials to install similar structures in their spaces.
The farm hosts compensated educational programs; free workshops and gardening materials; tool lending, seed sharing and agricultural library. This farm looks to infuse art into the garden space through sculpture and murals designed by artists participating in Kranzberg Arts Foundation Artist in Residence program, co-located in the education center building. In return, produce grown in the demonstration garden and procured from local farmers will be distributed to these artists through a free Community Supported Agriculture style system.
Operations started in fall of 2025!
