Many people see an old pallet and think "trash" but not Urban Harvest STL and Perennial! We think GARDEN! Come learn how to build a raised garden bed out of a wooden pallet and then take part in a hands-on demonstration using your newly learned skills! This workshop will use the first hour for instruction and the remaining time for building this style of raised garden bed, designed by Perennial staff and built by UHSTL and Perennial staff and workshop attendees for Urban Harvest STL’s Grandel Square Center for Urban Agriculture demonstration farm.

Raise the Roof

Raise the ROOF is our biggest celebration and fundraiser of the year. The annual affair brings our community together to enjoy small bites created by Chef David Kirkland of Turn Restaurant, featuring fresh ingredients from our farm. You can also enjoy live music from Hot Club Caravan and libations – all while raising support for our mission. We look forward to sharing this evening with you to celebrate the strides we’ve made in urban agriculture, sustainability, education and food access.

While tickets are free for the event, we hope you will make a donation to support Urban Harvest STL's food security and education programs. For more information on our programs visit our website.

2 ticket max per order. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors.

Talk Climate Gathering

Are you looking to build community and deepen shared learning about how climate stories are powerful tools for change?

The three-day, virtual Talk Climate Gathering is the place for you! Our partners at Climate Generation are offering an event to celebrate and connect around the transformational power of climate storytelling. As part of the event, you’ll craft and use your stories to create powerful change in meaningful ways. To do this, the experience will center around  “circle jams,” an organized space to gather in community with one another around the idea of using stories to create change in your “spheres of influence” –– the self-selected place in your life where you want to make a difference.

“Hearing about how people's lives are being threatened by climate change is so powerful. I don’t experience those acute connections to climate change, so it really makes me re-evaluate the importance of hearing different stories and how they impact my understanding of climate change.”

— 2021 Talk Climate Attendee
