Amaya is the Operations & Communications Manager of Urban Harvest STL, bringing her passion for building inclusive, resilient food systems to the heart of St. Louis. Amaya began her journey with Urban Harvest STL as a Farming for Community Apprentice in 2023 and has since contributed to sustainable food efforts throughout the St. Louis community. She holds a Master of Public Health in Health Management & Policy and has experience in community outreach, research, and operations. Dedicated to creating spaces where everyone can access healthy, locally grown food, Amaya draws inspiration from her Mexican heritage and the summers she spent on her family’s ranch, where she learned the value of cultivating the land, sharing harvests, and honoring food traditions.

Outside work, Amaya enjoys exploring hiking trails, experimenting with farmers market finds in her kitchen, and discovering vintage finds around the city. She is excited to connect with local growers and work toward building more resilient communities.
