About the Chef
Prior to his tenor at Kaldi's, Frank spent time in kitchens in the US & Italy. He trained at Apicus Culinary School in Florence, worked for Chef Pierre Luigi Campi at Ristorante Ricchi, as well as Mario Batali's Bistro du Vent in New York City. McGinty moved his way through the ranks becoming co-owner and Sous Chef of Arthur Clay’s in St. Louis. After getting out of the kitchen, he joined the family at Kaldi's Coffee and has been there now for over 8 years. In addition, he recently co-founded "This is Not a Restaurant" at Brennan's here in STL, a rotational restaurant project allowing chefs to take over the space and create a one or two night concept of their choosing.
